Online Practice Management Studio^TM allows you to keep an unlimited number of patient records, securely online, allowing your practice to access these records from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Medicare Online Claiming

Online Practice Management Studio^TM is the only web-based Medicare Online claiming system. This allows for claims to be made from any PC without the need of installing certificates on each PC like most other software. Costly EFTPOS terminal points are not needed, and no software needs to be installed. Practices are able to claim Bulk Bill (BBC) and Patient Claiming (PCI) benefits from anywhere. Medicare Online claims are made as you are invoicing and responses from Medicare are received instantaneously.

Not only will Online Practice Management Studio^TM allow you to easily claim benefits in under 60 seconds, but as Bulk Bill claims are processed by Medicare you will be automatically emailed with a list of claims that have been approved or rejected. If claims have been approved, OPMS will automatically reconcile the invoice and mark it as "paid", which means you don't have to keep on top of where Medicare claims are at.

Appointments

Calendar

An easy to use and customisable calendar interface gives you a simple and flexible way of creating and viewing appointments. Time slot intervals, practitioner appointment colours and time displays can be modified to suit your practice needs.

iCal and iPhone Support

The OPMS calendar supports iCal calendaring standards, and as a result allows some smartphones (such as the iPhone) to integrate natively. Having this powerful integration allows you to take your practice appointments with you anywhere you go.

Availabilty Schedules

Practitioner schedules can be defined to eliminate patient booking errors. These schedules will alert the user making the appointment if the appointment they are creating does not fit within the availability of the practitioner. When creating an appointment, based on the date and time of the appointment, the location will be automatically selected to enhance efficiency.

Available Appointment Search

The available appointment search gives administration staff and practitioners the power to find available appointments without the need of going day-by-day through the calendar. Even if your practice is booked out weeks in advance, the available appointment search will quickly and easily show you your free appointment slots.

SMS Appointment Reminders

Appointment reminders can be set when creating appointments to remind patient's of their appointment 24hrs before the event. Patients can then respond to the SMS reminder, notifying your practice of any cancellations. The SMS reminder message wording can be customised.

Cancellations Waiting List

The OPMS calendar offers users a cancellations waiting list, allowing practices to create a list patients who wish to be seen earlier than their scheduled appointment.

Patient Billing

Invoices for patients can quickly and easily be created. Private, insurer, bulk bill and employers can all be invoiced easily. Using templates, invoices can literally be created in seconds. Once an invoice has been created, you can print, save it as a PDF or even email directly to the patient.

Reports

Financial Reporting

Online Practice Management Studio^TM offers a powerful yet easy to use integrated billing system, complete with financial reporting. Income, BAS, profit and loss, debtors, expenses and wages reports can quickly be generated using your billing and expenses data. All the financial reports can be exported to Microsoft Excel and animated graphs are also generated.

Using the debtors report, you can send an SMS reminder to patients notifying them of outstanding payments.

Report/Letter Writer

An integrated web-based report/letter writer is included with Online Practice Management Studio^TM to efficiently generate correspondance. Templates can be created, coupled with patient information extraction to quickly generate letters to multiple recipients.

Internal and External Communication

Each user account in Online Practice Management Studio^TM has their own integrated email account, which is a powerful way to enable communication with patients and colleagues. Copies of emails sent to patients are stored in recipient's file so they can be referenced as necessary. Patient and referrer email addresses are instantly available in your contacts list when sending emails. If your company has its own registered Internet domain, OPMS can handle all your incoming and outgoing emails to be your primary email domain.

SMS Messages

SMS is a great way to communicate, and with Online Practice Management Studio^TM you can do just that. Using patient mobile phone numbers, you can instantly send a batch of SMS's. The integrated SMS facilities also allow you to send an SMS to all patients booked in on a particular day, which can come in useful if a practitioner is unavailable or needs to reschedule.

Instant Messaging

Instant Messaging within Online Practice Management Studio^TM is a convenient way to communicate with colleagues, and is more accessible than email. Instant Messages can be received from anywhere within OPMS and are non-intrusive.

Access Levels

Restrict Access

Online Practice Management Studio^TM offers three levels of access by default;
- Supervisor (highest level of access)
- Case manager (practitioners)
- Accounts/Administration (administration staff)
Each of these access levels offers a different level of security by default. At any time, a user with the supervisor level of access is able to modify these permissions.

Patient Access

Other than users with supervisor access levels, by default, practitioners can only see their own clients. A supervisor can modify this to allow certain practitioners to see other practitioners patients.
